ABSTRACT

Leisure and education represent domains of life that have long been identified as significant for human flourishing. This chapter takes as its primary focus the concept of leisure and the challenges associated with educating students in a globalised society. Whilst different learning situations require different curricula, we consider higher education in this chapter where we want to bring about change in learners’ understanding of foundation phenomena (e.g., leisure, sport, travel, hospitality, management, and marketing).
