ABSTRACT

Leisure is a human right (World Leisure, 2005). In other words, leisure is a fundamental, universal, and natural right to which individuals should be entitled just because they are human beings. If this supposition is true, then everyone in the world should have the right to have leisure with all its benefits. However, having the right or freedom for any endeavor also requires responsibilities in being accountable for actions. Thus, leisure is a human right that is fundamental only when it is associated with universal responsibility.
