ABSTRACT
Although not explicitly stated, I interpret Ward’s very interesting chapter as dealing with the relation between science and religion. Its goal is to convince the reader that a so-called physical explanation is not the whole story, and that in order to understand the universe in an adequate way one should also refer to so-called value explanation, which is normative in nature. This is an extremely important and fundamental issue.
