ABSTRACT
Pattern recognition and searching order are fundamental cognitive activities. Mathematics is the most efficient way of recognizing patterns. Religions too are about discerning order. In this chapter I will explore the idea that the relation between religious perceptions of order and our pattern recognition capacity is similar to the relation between mathematics and pattern recognition.
