Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) is an alternative method for body composition estimation in paediatric research with many clinical applications However research involving DXA in general population studies is expensive, precluding this method in large-scale use or non-clinical environments. The aim of this study was to develop equations for fat mass (FM) referenced in multi-component analysis by Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA).
