ABSTRACT

The main concern of this chapter is to examine how children’s rights to health care, and their rights within health services and everyday health care, illuminate other important rights. Especially relevant here is Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989): children’s rights to express their views freely in all matters affecting them. Article 24 on health rights is one of the most detailed articles in the Convention. This, and other related articles, will be reviewed briefly.
