ABSTRACT

Individuals are sometimes accused of being two-faced, and my laptop's online Thesaurus tells me this term may mean: ‘hypocritical, false, insincere, deceitful, disingenuous, duplicitous, treacherous [and] double dealing’ (Thesaurus: English (UK)); not the most complimentary language I think you will agree? In the current climate of uber performativity, are teacher educators (and teachers) obliged to speak out of the two sides of their mouths simultaneously?
