The line manager as a facilitator of team learning and change

The supervisor is defined as the line manager responsible for a section or a team of workers who do not themselves have subordinates. Supervisors represent a link between senior management and the workforce (Evans, 1996). The terms ‘supervisor’ and ‘line manager’ are used interchangeably.
