ABSTRACT

After the construction of a sexual maturity index based on a weighted vector, intercorrelation analysis was conducted to confirm the possible association between different measures of sexual maturity development. Spearman’s correlation among voice stage, pubic hair and genital stage was low but significant (Table 3). Skeletal and sexual maturation are not necessarily synchronous, and there was no well-defined correlation between Tanner stages and bone age. We can also observe that sexual maturity measures had great overall bone age variability.
