ABSTRACT
Engineering is based on both practical and theoretical knowledge in which mathematics plays a central role. Almost all branches rely on mathematics as a language of description and analysis and mathematicians work with a steady flow of engineering problems. The link between the two fields in both academia and industry is well established.
