ABSTRACT
In the period up to 367 BC Rome had two different forms of government. Until 509 BC there had been a monarchy, the political structure of which consisted of a king, a senate and an assembly. Then Rome became a republic with a political structure consisting of a senate, a magistrature and an assembly.
