ABSTRACT
The hallmark of any tertiary institution’s activities, among other things, is to strive to maintain quality and excellence. This process will be at the levels of institutional performance review and the maintenance of programme quality assurance. Therefore, in order to achieve tangible success at both the levels, it becomes pertinent for tertiary institutions to embrace the philosophy of the 5Ps: prior preparation prevents poor performance.
