ABSTRACT
Doing qualitative research (for definition see Bogdan and Biklen, 1982) is an endeavour that is permeated with ethical issues. The issues revolve around such questions as:
Whose values frame the research? The researcher or the researched?
Whose values are presented in the research?
In whom does the power to decide these things reside?
