ABSTRACT
Walter Rodney spent his brief life immersed in scholarship and politics. He was deeply committed to the spiritiual, political and economic liberation of Black peoples everywhere. He studied both Africa and the diaspora, producing some seminal books and a number of important articles. His political involvement in Guyana resulted in his death.
