German reunification took place on October 30, 1991. The reunification is based on the Unification Treaty.1
There are only a few mentions of transport.2 This is not surprising, since the nature of this agreement does not focus on economic topics. For instance, the treaty does not prejudge alternatives with respect to growing traffic or other problems related to public transport, e.g. the railways.
