ABSTRACT
In this chapter we shall consider three questions which are at the heart of the professional task of meeting the needs of pupils whose behaviour is giving cause for concern. The issues involved are relevant whether the child has a statement of special educational need (SEN) or whether the concern is less extreme than this but is nevertheless a matter needing attention and decision.
