ABSTRACT
The steady growth and strengthening of a quality movement in Britain during the post-war period can and should provide for an integration of quality systems. In business there is a recognition that the quality systems of suppliers are just as important as those of the producer of the final product, however that might be defined. In education, where the establishing of a formal quality movement is of more recent origin, a similar interrelationship of quality systems is equally valid. The focus of this chapter is therefore on describing how the networking of this quality relationship provides for a commitment to improvement both within and between schools, and their relationship with an authority advisory service.
