ABSTRACT
Global climatic change has been an ongoing research topic for more than fifteen years. However, little has been done to bring adequate awareness to fifteen years. However, little has been done to bring adequate awareness to decision makers on a local level. Impacts in alpine regions will occur first on the local level resulting later on in supra-regional problems. Usually the local decision makers are not aware of how global climate change can affect local life and how to take it into account in various planning processes.
