ABSTRACT
There is a renaissance in the affairs of the car industry in Britain. Whether this will apply also to the UK components and commercial vehicle producers remains to be seen. The car industry is set for major expansion but the position facing the commercial vehicle sector is less certain, while the component industry still faces restructuring.
