ABSTRACT

Recent years have seen a growing interest in issues of gender, and there have been a number of new titles on women in management (Davidson and Cooper 1992), on sexuality in organizations (Hearn et al. 1989), and on gender and organizations (Mills and Tancred 1992; Savage and Witz 1992). All have made important contributions to our understanding of organizations in relation to issues of gender. Gender, Culture and Organizational Change is intended as a contribution to this growing body of knowledge and interest.
