Almost: while the old enemies of individualism suffer defeat upon defeat, in the Arabian desert as well as on Red Square, a new enemy rises in shining
green armour to challenge the victor. Ecologism, especially in its ‘dark-green’, biocentric or ecocentric variety, implies subordination of mankind as a whole to the Community of Life, Earth (Gaia) or the ecosystem: so a fortiori it implies subordination of the human individual, one might infer.
