ABSTRACT
Many of the values that radical Greens espouse-such as decentralization, participatory democracy, self-sufficiency (or, perhaps more realistically, selfreliance), egalitarianism, alternative technology, pacifism and internationalism-have their sources in earlier political traditions. In particular, feminism, socialism and anarchism have each made a significant contribution to the development of green political thought.
