ABSTRACT

This chapter will review some of the newer developments in assesment techniques which can provide invaluable information for the neuropsychologist. These developments are technology-based and include computer-based assessment, computerized transaxial tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This chapter will also examine a relatively new issue in the practice of neuropsychology; that is, the assessment of patients in coma.
