Gays por los Derechos Civiles Gays por los Derechos Civiles (Gays DC) was founded in October 1991 by Carlos Jauregui and Marcelo Feldman. It is an organization which fights ‘against discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and for the right to be different’. It provides legal services and psychological counsel ling without charge. It created the first twenty-fourhour anti-discrimination telephone help line in Argentina. It has presented three draft laws to Congress, one of which, the Law for a Contract of Civil Union between people of the same sex, has gained some support in Congress.
