ABSTRACT
Running a charity used to be so much easier. Charities were, of course, bound to comply with the general law of the land, but there was little law dedicated specifically to charities. The limited attention the legislators gave to charity law can be illustrated by the relatively few books there were, until recently, on the topic, compared with, say, company law.
