Equity and representation in the new economy book
In recent years there have been contradictory tendencies towards re-regulation and deregulation in the labour market. The former is associated with the adoption of national and supra-national employment legislation, guidelines and programmes for enhanced social rights, gender equality and work-life balance. The latter, however, is associated with the development of more deregulated and individualized workplaces in the new economy, which makes their implementation more difficult.
