ABSTRACT
This short hymn was recorded from an elderly inhabitant of the Ossetic village of Nar in 1932 (Salagaeva, 1961:II, 448). It is addressed to Æfsati, the lord of wild beasts and patron-deity of the Ossetic hunter.
