ABSTRACT
GCE Advanced (A) level examinations have become accepted as the ‘gold standard’ of educational achievement for learners at post-16. Governments past and present have been adamant that any change made to the curriculum and examinations post-16 should not compromise the standards of A level examinations. Yet, at the time of writing, changes are being implemented; they are discussed and commented upon in this chapter.2
