ABSTRACT
I changed my thoughts about gay men recently when I met a gay man through Fabulous, a magazine for gay men. Until then, I didn't like myself because of my being gay. It did not seem “cool” that a man falls in love with a man; it seemed shameful to me. I wrote about such feelings to the person. He wrote back to me, “It is natural that a man falls in love with a man and it is wonderful. You should not feel guilty about your being gay or blame yourself.” When I read his letter, I felt so relieved. All of his words made sense to me and made me feel at ease. It was the first time for me to have that kind of feelings because of another person's words. I like myself much more than before.
