ABSTRACT
A ‘target board’ is simply a rectangular grid with a set of numbers on it. The skill is to provide a set of numbers which suit the current topic. Numbers can be large or small, integers, fractions or decimals, in fact anything you might think of connected to mathematics. The grid can be on a flip chart, paper, card, OHT, Excel spreadsheet or an interactive whiteboard. It can be used with children of all ages, and is simple to make, adapt and use.
