ABSTRACT
The weakness of the input-output model of education, first discussed on p. 4, is that it concentrates on resources and results rather than the all-important process. And yet it is the process that matters; for many educators process is of the essence, while for many children and adults we remember and mind about what happened in the classroom or playground more than the marks we got, or the wages our teachers got.
