ABSTRACT
This book started with a simple title but has offered a complex picture. Girls and young women may all have, or be seen as, problems at different points in their lives for a great diversity of reasons. The book has explored many of those reasons. The contributors have shared a concern for the position of girls and young women and for their current under-representation in research, writing and practitioner discussion.
