ABSTRACT
In the strictest sense, the history of Czech central banking started on 1 January 1993 when the independent Czech Republic emerged. However, we can consider the development of central banking in the former Czechoslovakia up to this date as the direct predecessor of an independent central bank in the Czech Republic.
