ABSTRACT

The title of this chapter seems ambiguous. Will this chapter be about a form of teacher education that is rooted in love-LOVING teacher education? Will it be about a form of teacher education aimed at the preparation of loving teachers-LOVING TEACHER education? Will it be about a form of teacher education so rich and rewarding that preservice teachers enrolled in such programs will find themselves loving TEACHER EDUCATION? Will it be about a form of teacher education structured in ways that allow us teacher educators to acknowledge our feelings for our students, our work, and our field and to reveal the emotional energy that we pour into teacher education?
