ABSTRACT
The paper describes the process of improving maintenance procedures, one that constitutes the intelligent portion of the system of collecting and processing information on aircraft failures. Phases of the process of improving maintenance have been pointed out, e.g. evaluation of tendencies of changes, evaluation of the need for improvements and selection of the technique(s) to improve maintenance, evaluation of the effectiveness of improvements, etc.
