ABSTRACT
The Main objective of this report is to discuss and outline the Product Liability Law of Japan. The discussion will center on technical issues concerning the PL Law. The major technical issues defects including defects in products and defects related to handling instructions, defense for development risk and issues related to design. In concluding the report, the author proposes international unification of the PL laws.
