Activity of Japanese Society of Mechanical Engineers Product Liability Committee

The Japanese PL laws is supposed to be introduced from July 1, 1995. To discuss the PL-related problems, the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers started the PL committee in the Materials and Mechanics Division in November, 1994. The meeting is held every 3 months, 8 times in total for two years. The past, present and future activities are outlined.
