ABSTRACT
This paper analyses and locates the match between developments in information system design and the needs of new organizational structures appropriate to the concurrent construction project partnership (CCPP) paradigm. It considers how information systems may provide critical benefits to construction management practice and identifies some of the technical and organizational attributes that may become necessary when information is inconsistent, incompatible or dispersed between the functional areas involved within a construction management partnership. The paper describes an integrated concurrent construction information system (CCIS) model underpinned by heterogeneous database management technology which will be a platform for integration the information processing work within a CCPP. The CCIS constitutes a new technical infrastructure within which building project design and construction will be enacted.
Le présent papier analyse et localise l’interface entre les développements dans le domaine de la conception des systèmes d’information et les besoins des nouvelles structures organisationnelles en réponse au nouveau paradigme des projets de construction concourante en partenariat (CCPP). Il se penche, d’une part, sur la façon dont les systèmes d’information peuvent profiter effectivement aux pratiques de gestion de la réalisation, et identifie d’autre part certains des attributs techniques et organisationnels qui peuvent s’avérer indispensables lorsque l’information est inconsistente, incompatible ou dispersée entre les zones de fonctionnement sur lesquelles repose une gestion de projets en partenariat. Par ailleurs, il décrit la modélisation d’un système d’information intégré pour construction concourante (CCIS) sous-tendu par une technologie de gestion de base de données hétérogènes, et qui sera une plateforme pour l’intégration du traitement de l’information dans un CCPP. Le CCIS constitue une nouvelle infrastructure technique à l’intērieur de laquelle la conception et la construction d’un projet seront réalisés.
