ABSTRACT
Competitive tendering means different things to different people. At the start of a competitive tendering process, a person is often buoyant and keen. It is often a far different person who emerges some years later. The vicissitudes of competition, conflict and concentration take their toll. At the same time, the actual tendering process itself gets refined. Lessons are learnt from mistakes made.
