ABSTRACT
This refers to low back pain, which occurs as a result of disc pathology. These disc pathologies include annular fibrosis tear, degeneration and herniation. Disc herniation is covered in detail elsewhere (see the chapter on Lumber intervertebral disc herniation), but annular tear and disc degeneration are discussed here.
