ABSTRACT
Discharge unit values for sanitary appliances in common use are given in Table 1. For other appliances, the discharge unit value should be taken as that given in the table for an appliance with the same diameter trap with a comparable use interval. Where other intervals are expected, the approximate discharge unit value can be determined since the values given show that the discharge unit value is inversely proportional to the use interval, i.e. if the interval is doubled, then the discharge unit value is halved.
