Wind malady as madness in medieval China: some threads from the Dunhuang medical manuscript

As the title suggests, this chapter is an attempt to explore both Wind malady as madness in medieval China and one particular Dunhuang medical manuscript which records examples of this disease. The purpose of this chapter is not only to survey Wind malady in the history of diseases but also to examine the significance of a specific manuscript in the transmission of medical knowledge.
