ABSTRACT
The modern science centre is a black box experience. The term black box refers both to the structures that house the experience of science, literally spaces without natural light, and the science content itself, which, following the usage of Bruno Latour, is usually based on black box or taken-for-granted scientific practice.1 The ways in which these senses reinforce each other is described below as black box science in a black box science centre.
