ABSTRACT

Italian baritone, born in Torino, Italy. He sang at La Scala, and was with the Metropolitan Opera in 1904-1906. Parvis recorded on single-faced Zonophones, in the U.S., during 1904-1906, including an outstanding “La ci darem la mano” with Eugenia Mantelli (#12573). He went to Columbia cylinders and discs, from 1905 to 1914, and worked also for Pathé in Milan in 1913, making about 25 arias and duets. In 1918 he recorded for Edison Diamond Discs. He died in Barcelona, Spain.
