ABSTRACT

Pohlmann is a tenured full professor and director of the music engineering technology program in the School of Music at the University of Miami in Coral Gables. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois in UrbanaChampaign, and is the author of Principles of Digital Audio (4th edition, 2000, McGrawHill) and The Compact Disc Handbook (2nd ed., 1992, A-R Editions), coauthor of Writing for New Media (1sted.,1997, Wiley), and editor and coauthor of Advanced Digital Audio (1st ed., 1991, Sams). He has written over 1,500 articles for audio magazines. He contributes to Sound & Vision and Mobile Entertainment magazines.
