ABSTRACT

An American firm established in Philadelphia in 1919. It moved to New York in 1920, manufacturing phonographs and (by November 1920) disc records. Remington operated the Olympic Disc Record Corp., which was formed in March 1921, issuing Olympic label records. Philo E. Remington was president of Olympic. With the bankruptcy of Remington and Olympic in December 1921, some of the assets passed to the Fletcher Record Co., which revived the Olympic label for a time in December 1922.
