ABSTRACT

An American record, vertical cut, offered 1917 to ca. 1918 by the Bell Talking Machine Corp., New York. Twenty to 30 new selections were issued monthly, on 10-inch discs selling for $0.75 each. Franz Schubert’s portrait graced the labels. The records were still on sale in December 1918, after which date there was no further advertising. [Rust 1978.]

FRANK ANDREWS

A mixed vocal group that recorded briefly for Victor. On 12 June 1906 they sang “Praise Ye” from Verdi’s Attila (#4776). Members were Elise Stevenson, soprano; Harry Macdonough, tenor; and Frank C. Stanley, bass. There was no listing for the Trio in the Victor 1917 catalog.
