ABSTRACT

Harry Simeone was born in Newark, New Jersey. After completing his childhood schooling he went to the Julliard School of Music in New York to refine his piano skills and then began work at CBS Radio where, in 1939, Fred Waring offered him a job as a staff arranger for his group, the Pennsylvanians. After several years of arranging for Waring, Simeone moved to Hollywood where he and his composer Victor Young worked at the Paramount on Bing Crosby movies.
