ABSTRACT
The path on a magnetic tape that is used for recording and playback. Full track means that the entire width of the tape is used; dual track means that half the width of the tape is used for each continuous signal. An eight-track tape employs eight side-by-side tracks, representing four separate stereo programs of two channels each,or two programs of four channels each.
