ABSTRACT

We applaud our colleagues at the University of Washington (UW) for their work on the conception, implementation and evaluation of interprofessional education. Their work reflects a fact we all must confront-substantial numbers of children, adults and families have not been effectively served by existing service delivery systems and segregated policy frameworks. In this light, reformist work is the equivalent of tinkering with existing systems and does not promise more effective and efficient services for persons underserved and even harmed by our service systems.
